As far as paying it forward and doing something kind – Been unemployed then underemployed for almost a year and a half. Finally landed a fantastic job at Robins AFB Stefanie at the Rev-Up!!! Anyway, a former co-worker has been unhappy at his present job, so I offered to pass his resume and name along to a friend of mine at the place he’s interested in working for. After all it’s all about connections these days and it’s tough getting a full time job!

I decided to sign up for a three year commitment to support a group that brings fresh water and hope to the drought areas of Africa. I never thought I would get around to doing something like that – so thank you for the motivation!!!

Not one to put my good works out there, but for “So Loved” and in memory of Esther, I watched my new neighbors three kids for an entire afternoon while she took some time to get some things put away without the littlest of helpers. Please understand that usually keeping a few extra kids is no big deal, but she has three under 4 and her middle guy is a bruiser at just a little over 2 years old. It was a challenge but one that I know she appreciated and I wished someone had done for me a few times when I had way too much to do and no helping hands around.

I work at a huge cancer hospital and often patients just wander around lost. I always stop and get them to where they are going because the the walk is often exhausting, especially if they get lost and have to retrace. We also have carts, and I gave up my seat today to let a patient ride instead of myself.

I was driving up to the University I attended and I stopped by the Visitors Center to get a a parking pass. I said good morning to the attendant and that’s when I noticed that she was squinting her eyes. I asked her was so okay and she replied that she had just left the eye doctor that morning and that the office forgot to give her the special paper shades to protect her dilated eyes. Now, earlier that week I had prayed about finding ways to be a blessing in spite of the fact that I’m unemployed… not letting finances hinder me from being a giver… just finding creative ways to it. So, the holy spirit nudged me to give her my shade… not just any shade but my “favorite” and… only pair. I told her that I wanted to bless her and I gave her the sunglasses and told her God loved her and which she replied God bless you and I rode off. I must mention she’s now one of the stylish, young at heart ; ) women I know!
