Meet the Whitney Family who is in the process of adopting a little girl from China…

Todd and Tracy are college sweethearts who have been married for over 22 years. From the time that they were engaged, they planned on building a large family. International adoption has always been on their hearts as part of that plan.

Making up The Whitney Gang are Micah (17), Caleb (16), Shayne (13), Judah (10) and Aidan (4). Aidan has been home from Baoji City in Shaanxi Province since September 2008. Soon, The Gang will welcome its newest member – a little girl who waits for them in China. The entire gang trusts the Lord to prepare their hearts and minds for the day that their crazy busy house full o’ love grows by two more feet. They cannot wait to see what else they will learn in the process of becoming a family of 8.

They are greatly encouraged and humbled to have so many folks come alongside them on this adventure to welcome Brynna home. The Gang loves adoption, particularly special needs adoption, and has learned a lot about the character of The Father from both the adoption community and from their adoption journeys.

Tracy blogs about The Gang’s doings here. Come by and give her some comment love. She loves new readers!

Hi, we are the Goins family! We (Baron & Laura) have been married since 2004. God turned our hearts toward adoption in 2009, and in 2010, we adopted our beautiful daughter, Natalie Rebecca. Through that amazing journey, we knew that we wanted to adopt again.

Now, almost 2 years later, we are in the process of another domestic adoption. Please take a moment to read Laura’s blog, The Papyrus Basket, to learn more about our adoption story.

Thank you for shopping Wild Olive Tees to help raise the money to bring home another beautiful child of God!

Last weekend, Colleen and I had the privilege of hanging out with some pretty amazing women at the Created 4 Care retreat.

It was a 3 day getaway, for mamas who are passionate about orphans to come together and support and encourage each other, and to encounter all God is doing in the lives of those He has called to adopt.

It was, most definitely, food for the soul.

We were able to squeeze the necks of some wonderful friends, like Gwen Oatsvall from 147 Million…

and Shelly Owens of 60 Feet, one of the life-changing ministries we partner with at Wild Olive.

And we got the chance to make a lot of new friends, too.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Wild Olive booth, we loved the opportunity to hear your stories and all God is doing in your lives, and how He is growing your family through adoption!

And we also thoroughly enjoyed all the fantastic feedback on our tees and our Adoption Fundraiser Program. If you would like more information about our Adoption Fundraiser Program, please contact Amie, she’ll get you all the information you need to get started raising those funds to bring your little one home!

We’d like to introduce another Wild Olive Fundraising Family!

The Wild Olive Adoption Fundraising Program was born out of our passion for the orphan. The goal of this program is to help raise support to enable families to adopt a child. What better cause is there than helping a child that was once an orphan be adopted into a loving, Jesus-following, forever family?

Meet the Heddens, who are preparing to bring home two teenage boys from China…

We are the Hedden Family and we are so excited to grow our family again! We are adopting two teenage boys from China. We felt the call last year when we saw the face of our soon-to-be son, Joe. A mother just knows… Thankfully, dad does too. We began all of our paperwork and stepped out on faith, knowing that God would guide every step of our process. Little did we know at the time that God had much bigger plans, a much greater blessing.

This month, we jumped out on faith to add yet another son to this adoption process. He has been advocated for as Leon and he stole our hearts. Leon has a heart defect and will age out of the possibility to be adopted at the end of next month. We are racing to get all of the necessary paperwork completed so that we can travel to China and scoop him up before his 14th birthday.

God has ordained every step of this, all He asks is for our obedience. We trust Him with the provisions, from timelines to travel to finances… It is all His economy anyway. We really appreciate your prayers and your support.

To find our family code and follow our journey, just visit us our family blog here.

Meet the Zorzi family, who is adopting a girl from Columbia…

From the Zorzi’s:

Jim and have been married for 21 years now and nothing has brought us more pleasure than being parents. Our oldest son is in his third year of college and our younger son is a freshman in high school. We adopted our girls from China in 2003 and 2007.

In the summer of 2009, a local family participated in the Summer Miracles by Kidsave and hosted Daniela, from Colombia. They advocated and prayed for her and connected Daniela with a forever family. During a visit to Colombia in May of 2010, Daniela’s new mother met Daniela’s 12 year old sister Yaqueline and immediately inquired about her participation in Summer Miracles of 2011. The approval came a bit late, and the search for a host home was fast and furious. If Yaqueline was going to come to MD near her sister instead of California, a host family would have to be approved immediately-–a God-sized task for sure.

Approval came just 2 weeks later from Colombia allowing us to host Yaqueline through the Kidsave program. Yaqui has spent the months July and part of December/January with us. She is a great fit for our family and we can’t wait to bring her home for good.

Meet the Bandimeres, who are in the process of adopting a little girl from India…

Hello from the Bandimere family (David, Sarah, Adam, Yana, Lily, Jadon and Grace). We are excited to be adding to our family once again! We are in the process of adopting a little girl from India. She is 10 years old and in need of surgery in the U.S. When she is finally home with us we will have three 11 year olds in our house!! We wish that we could post her photo, because she is absolutely precious and we love her with all of our hearts!

Our journey to R. started a few years ago, while we were adopting our daughter Grace, from China. Sarah had a dream about a curly-haired little girl who would absolutely change our lives. In 2010, our daughter, Lily, and Sarah went to India to volunteer at an orphanage there. Our hearts were broken for the people of India. Soon after returning home, we started the adoption process for our sweet daughter. India is a very difficult country in terms of adoption, but the need is great. We’ve encountered some bumps along the way, but with India’s new adoption procedures now in place, we’ve seen some progress in the past few weeks. We are believing that God will bring home our precious girl very soon!

The Wild Olive Adoption Fundraising Program was born out of our passion for the orphan. The goal of this program is to help raise support to enable families to adopt a child. What better cause is there than helping a child that was once an orphan be adopted into a loving, Jesus-following, forever family?

Meet the Barlows, who are in the process of adopting a little girl with Downs Syndrome from Bulgaria…

Bobby and I have been married for 7 years and have one daughter, Allison who is three years old. I am not able to have any more children and thought our family was done until we came across information about special needs adoption.

We searched and prayed for a long time and then fell in love with Heaven. Heaven is a two year old girl in Bulgaria with Down Syndrome. We have committed to bringing her home and our dossier has been submitted!

The next step is our first trip to meet Heaven. After the initial trip, our lawyer goes to court for us and we will get to bring our daughter home 3 – 5 months later. It is a slow and expensive process but worth it to bring our little Heaven home.
